Badrutt's Palace Hotel will reopen for winter on December 3, 2021, with new developments and stylish holiday celebrations to kick off a highly anticipated return to the international ski season.

Next month, the enchanting 156-room property will welcome new developments on the heels of a comprehensive renovation completed in 2021. Updates include:

  • King's Social House, Switzerland's first-ever nightclub will open after a two-year hiatus under the direction of world-renowned, Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur, Jason Atherton. The restaurant, bar and nightclub offers a sophisticated approach to food and drink, DJ-driven entertainment, and is in Atherton's words, "somewhere you can go and eat Michelin-quality food and party like it's your last night." Badrutt's Palace Hotel offers nine other restaurants and three bars, including: IGNIV by Andrea Caminada, a two-Michelin Star fine dining experience; the legendary Le Grand Hall, known as the "living room of St. Moritz;" and La Coupole, the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant from world-famous Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa.
  • Adjacent to the famed Corviglia ski area, Badrutt's Palace offers a new Luxury Ski Break package inclusive of a three- or five-night stay. Luxurious touches include a Rolls Royce pick up at St. Moritz station, 24/7 butler service, a complimentary ski pass alongside use of mountain railways, fittings at the onsite ski shop and concierge, Palace Wellness spa therapies ideal for after a day on the mountain, including the Après-Ski Massage, and more.
  • For the first time, the Badrutt's Palace's world class dining and nightlife experience will extend to the slopes. Badrutt's Palace Hotel announces a tenth restaurant concept and will assume management for the internationally renowned Paradiso Mountain Club & Restaurant St. Moritz. A destination only accessible by ski or chairlift, located in the midst of the Corviglia ski area, the uber ski hut restaurant welcomes guests with mountain brasserie fare and dynamic entertainment which evolves throughout the day.
  • The property's annual Holiday Tree Auction Charity Gala on December 22 traditionally raises funds for local charities by auctioning trees extravagantly designed by international luxury fashion houses with an added gift or experience. Participating brands have included Bulgari, Moncler, Gucci, Cartier, and Dior. The 2021 auction benefits the following organizations: KIBE, Ski School for the Blind, Avegnir, and Ufficina. Additionally, Badrutt's Palace decadent New Year's Eve Gala, with this year's themeannounced as a "Secret Garden," is nothing short of legendary.
  • The eagerly awaited reopening of the exquisite Badrutt's Palace Tower Penthouse Apartment. Following 30 years of private rental, the exceptional four-bedroom, 3,412 square foot property spreads over three levels on top of the palace. With an open fireplace, two large tower balconies and bird's-eye views of the area, the Tower Penthouse Apartment takes luxury Swiss hospitality to dramatic new heights. Having undergone a renovation in preparation for the season, the Tower Penthouse Apartment will reopen as the pinnacle of luxury in St. Moritz and beyond.

For more than 150 years, St Moritz has established itself as the playground of the international elite and birthplace of Alpine hospitality. Winter 2022 welcomes the return of internationally renowned annual events, including the 37th Snow Polo World Cup in January, the world's only high-goal tournament on snow where spectators can cheer on Badrutt's Palace's very own polo team.
