IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world's leading hospitality companies, continues to evolve its luxury presence in Germany as they sign Alte Post in Reit im Winkl, a market debut for Vignette Collection, the company's newest luxury brand.

Vignette Collection is IHG Hotels & Resorts' first collection brand and is a family of one-of-a-kind properties in sought-after urban and resort locations where guests can indulge in a growing passion for stays that are authentic, experiential and considerate. Here for the next generation of luxury travellers seeking both discovery and purpose, Vignette Collection weaves responsibility, community and locality together for stays that are as distinct as the hotels themselves.

Alte Post Vignette Collection is set to open in 2026 under a franchise agreement with Odyssey Hotel Group. The hotel will be developed by DAIxKo Group in a joint venture between Derichs and Konertz project development and Aixact real estate in a lease brokered by Hotel Affairs Consulting GmbH. The luxury hotel will be designed by the architect company blocher partners of Stuttgart and will feature 150 luxury bedrooms, two restaurants, including one for fine dining, plus a bar, underground parking and a superb wellness area with fitness studios, saunas and a swimming pool. Sustainability will continue to be at the heart of the property's design.

Reit im Winkl is a well-known and popular village located on the German/Austrian border in southeast Bavaria - a popular tourist region in Germany.

IHG's luxury presence in Germany has continued to grow in recent years with four of their luxury brands - InterContinental, Regent, Kimpton and now Vignette Collection - now represented with open or signed hotels in the market.

IHG continues to invest in its Luxury and Lifestyle portfolio in Germany having recently overseen a full refurbishment of the flagship InterContinental Berlin, with significant investment made to the hotel's lobby, public areas, guest rooms and ballroom.

IHG will further bolster its luxury offering by bringing the global boutique luxury hotel brand Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants to Germany in 2025 with the opening of Kimpton Frankfurt. Part of one of Europe's largest inner-city developments, the Kimpton is a new build hotel behind a listed and conserved façade in Frankfurt's city centre. The luxury boutique hotel will feature 155 rooms, two large meeting rooms and an onsite gym. In addition to the hotel's signature restaurant, there are also plans for a sky-bar and restaurant on the roof terrace, where guests will be able to enjoy an unrivalled view of the city. The classic 1950s lobby will serve as the main entrance to the hotel.

Kimpton Frankfurt is part of Frankfurt's most pioneering development project; FOUR Frankfurt, which is led by highly regarded developer Groß and Partner. FOUR Frankfurt is a unique high-rise in the middle of the central banking district which features office, residential and retail space in a prime city centre location. The mixed-use project, which highlights innovative and sustainable design by UNStudio architects, will be home to 5,000 people for both business and residential purposes.

IHG currently has 91* hotels open in Germany, with a further 26* in the pipeline, across brands including Regent Hotels and Resorts, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, voco hotels, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts and Holiday Inn Express.
