100 Princes Street

The Much Anticipated 100 Princes Street in Scotland Will Officially Unveil

One of Edinburgh's most storied addresses, the former Royal Overseas League building will open as 100 Princes Street 1st November 2023. Heralding the start of a new era in the cultural heart of the city, this new hotel will sit just a stone's throw from Scotland's National Gallery and the destination's most historic attractions.

From the team behind Xigera Safari Lodge in Botswana and Ashford Castle in Ireland, 100 Princes Street will offer a new perspective on the Scottish capital, taking inspiration from the rich storytelling of the great explorers who once dwelled the halls and made this historic building their 'home away from home'.

Its "anything, anytime" ethos and cosy townhouse atmosphere will give guests the sense of a private home, rather than a traditional hotel - and the residents-only Explorers' Club will offer guests a quintessentially Scottish experience with extraordinary service, heritage design, and signature local dishes.

Designed by Toni Tollman, Philippe Bonino, and Brian Brennan, 100 Princes Street has been carefully curated with furnishings and artwork from local artisans, including custom-made tartan by Araminta Campbell, and a central staircase with a hand-painted mural by Croxford and Saunders, honouring the adventures of great Scottish explorers of the past. Other highlights will include a wine wall with over 200 fine wines and an impeccable selection of Scottish whiskeys. The greatest standout of all, however, is the exceptional service that 100 Princes Street will provide for its guests, with a 2:1 staff-to-guest ratio that showcases the best of Edinburgh's talent.
