ibis budget, Europe's leading super budget hotel brand from the Accor group, which will delight adventure and urban sports enthusiasts, opens today in partnership with CONTINUUM HOTEL MANAGEMENT, one of its main franchisees and hotel managers in Spain, a new establishment 9 minutes' drive from Madrid airport and well connected by car to the centre of the capital.

With 6 floors of rooms, plus ground floor and basement, with a total of 156 rooms (6 of them adapted for people with functional diversity) and parking, the new ibis budget Madrid Aeropuerto opened its doors on 19 December. The establishment is located in the area of the former Iveco-Pegaso factory, in the district of San Blas-Canilejas, which is part of a project to implement a large logistics hub next to the A-2 that will serve the whole of the city, revitalising a strategic area of Madrid.

This new ibis budget will feature its iconic design and dynamic, comfortable, intuitive and contemporary signature style, with healthy breakfast options to start the day with energy.

Its façade envelope is designed/fabricated in such a way as to completely insulate the hotel from outside noise and air traffic, as well as having a thermal transmission coefficient of almost zero. It is equipped with photovoltaic panels, with aerothermal installation, ventilation with heat/cold recovery. It also has communication materials to raise awareness among customers so that they can individually contribute to reducing their carbon footprint.

Thus, ibis budget Madrid Airport complies with Accor's decarbonisation roadmap, which stands out for being a pioneer in the world with the SBTI (Science Based Target Initiative) method.
