The World-Famous Nobu Hospitality Has Officially Arrived in the Netherlands
Monday, November 10, marked a special moment for the Dutch hospitality scene: the official laying of the foundation stone for Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam (opening 2027). This marks the arrival of the world-renowned Nobu Hospitality brand, founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper, in the Netherlands.
The three founders traveled to Amsterdam with Nobu Hospitality CEO Trevor Horwell as part of their European tour, to personally witness this special moment: the launch of their first project in the Netherlands, which is being realized in collaboration with and under the leadership of real estate developer and investor Breevast.
A festive ceremony and an exclusive preview of Nobu Amsterdam
The morning began at the construction site with the official ceremony, where the three founders, along with Trevor Horwell and Henk Brouwer, CEO of Breevast, symbolically laid the foundation stone. Following this, Jort Kelder moderated the press conference, explaining the vision behind the project. From the elevated pavilion, attendees enjoyed panoramic views of the construction of the two towers of Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam, designed by architects UNStudio and Ben van Berkel. Afterwards, they were given an exclusive sneak peek of the highly anticipated Nobu Amsterdam, the restaurant that will be part of the project, featuring an impressive interior by the renowned Rockwell Group from New York.
An ode to Amsterdam
After the ceremony, the day continued with a relaxing boat cruise through Amsterdam's canals, at the invitation of Breevast. Guests and partners from the real estate and hospitality sectors were present to celebrate this special moment. The day concluded with an intimate and exclusive dinner at the Rijksmuseum, beneath the iconic masterpiece The Night Watch.
