The Oberoi, Wadi Safar to Open as Saudi Arabia’s New Luxury Gateway to Diriyah in H2 2026

The Oberoi Group has announced the opening of The Oberoi, Wadi Safar in the second half of 2026, marking a pivotal moment for the brand in the Kingdom. Set adjacent to historic Diriyah and spread across 62 km² of some of Saudi Arabia's most untouched natural landscape, the resort is poised to become one of the country's most exclusive luxury getaways and a serene gateway to one of its most captivating cultural destinations.

The Oberoi, Wadi Safar will feature a discreet collection of 60 rooms and 10 private villas, all designed to showcase the surrounding landscape while delivering Oberoi Hotels & Resorts' intuitive, effortless, and graceful hospitality. The resort will overlook the Royal Equestrian and Polo Club, with a Greg Norman designed 27 hole championship golf course framing the dramatic horizon.

Among its luxury amenities, the resort will offer a ballroom for events of up to 160 guests, a spa, pool area, Kids Club, Business Centre, Yoga Studio, and five dining venues. Each restaurant will feature outdoor seating with spectacular views, either of the central grand water feature or the dramatic escarpment, allowing guests to dine al fresco in an unforgettable setting.

The Oberoi, Wadi Safar will be the Group's second hotel in Saudi Arabia, joining The Oberoi, Madina, an award winning property located just steps from the Prophet's Mosque.
