The all-new beachfront boutique hotel Ambros Daytona in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, announces its official opening in January 2026. Boasting 50 rooms and suites dressed with minimalist-inspired decor and a serene atmosphere designed for leisure and well-being, Ambros Daytona aims to raise the bar of the Florida coastal city's hotel offerings.

The hotel is the brainchild of visionary entrepreneurs Louis S. Caiola, Graham Jones, and Gregory Jones who discovered the untapped potential of Daytona Beach as an upscale and wellness-driven travel destination in an area with a dearth of design-driven boutique properties. Located on what is locally referred to as "The Shores" on Daytona Beach's Atlantic Avenue, Ambros Daytona opens after meticulous planning and imagination to manifest a new vision for what the coastal city can become, moving beyond its long-held connotation as a destination primarily for conventions and racing events. The minimalistic, calming color tones throughout the rooms and furniture, the vibrant pool deck and lounge area with Blomus poolside daybeds and majestic and unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean, and the personalized approach to hospitality all contribute to creating an unprecedented experience for travelers visiting for sports competitions, festivals, the legendary surf break, or simply a relaxing beach getaway.

Pioneering a new era for the city, Ambros Daytona is bringing a modern, boutique beach club energy to the area, offering a stylish alternative to the traditional, colorful Florida aesthetic. The hotel is redefining the local hospitality landscape, providing a sophisticated haven for guests while also embracing the vibrant cultural and recreational offerings of Daytona Beach. Ambros represents a bold new chapter for a city poised to grow into a coastal destination.

The original three-story 1960's structure has undergone a meticulous transformation to blend modern elegance with timeless charm that harkens back to the golden days of summer vacations in Daytona Beach. The building's exterior envelope remains untouched, maintaining its architectural appeal from an original beachside "inn." The extensive interior reimagining includes a brand-new seawall, parking lot, pool, and pool deck, all enhanced with new decorative railings, landscaping and lighting that elevate the guest experience. Ambros Daytona boasts an outdoor swimming pool with sunloungers and daybeds, complemented by The Counter, a poolside cafe where guests can order light refreshments, wine, beer and light coastal fare.

As part of a growing brand expanding across Florida, Ambros is focused on reviving overlooked coastal towns, particularly along the coast from St. Augustine to New Smyrna Beach. Offering an alternative to the Miami Beach scene, Ambros presents a fresh, modern take on the boutique beach club ambiance. With a design philosophy that eschews kitschy Florida tropes, the hotel exudes minimalism and sophistication from its branding to its uniforms. The interior is a study in neutral tones and sleek, European design, featuring Porcelanosa tiles and vanities, St. Damasse furnishings, and Parachute linens. It stands apart from the colorful, patterned aesthetic that dominates Daytona, offering a serene, modern escape by the coast.

Further enhancing the guest experience, Ambros Daytona will introduce the adjacent Ambros Daytona Wellness Studio, a 1,200-square-foot space located just across the street from the hotel, in summer 2025. Offering yoga, holistic massages, surf lessons and esthetician treatments, the studio will serve both hotel guests and the local community. The studio will be spearheaded by Ambros Daytona's Wellness Coordinator Paige Jagger, who will provide a daily lineup of programs and activities that perfectly complement Daytona's relaxed beach lifestyle.

The property offers two categories of rooms - Queen rooms averaging 325-square-feet and King Family Suites ranging between 325- and 500-square-feet - several of which feature kitchenettes for added convenience. Several rooms provide full ocean views, allowing guests to take in the stunning coastal scenery. Each room and suite is fashioned with a custom color "Ambros Cool Blanche" color pallet, while "Greek Villa" hues on the ceilings create a calm, sophisticated atmosphere. Local muralist Chris Nebel created the murals in the rooms, drawing inspiration from the artistic style seen in Lenny Kravitz's Brazilian home. The hotel scent, Apotheke White Vetiver, offers guests a sensory experience through diffusers, room sprays and bath amenities.

Named after the Greek word for "immortal," Ambros draws inspiration from the Mediterranean beach clubs, where well-being and self-preservation are central to a healthy lifestyle. This connection to timeless traditions of relaxation and rejuvenation perfectly aligns with the mission to offer an elevated hospitality experience in Daytona. The property is designed with versatility in mind, ideally located to host guests in town for events, most notably the Ferrari Challenge North America, Rolex 24 and Nascar 500. In addition, the hotel accommodates pets under 30lbs for an additional fee, and is fully ADA-compliant, ensuring accessibility for all guests.

Daytona Beach continues to captivate visitors with its perfect blend of sun, sand and entertainment. A mecca for motorsports enthusiasts, Daytona is home to the iconic Daytona International Speedway, where thrilling races such as the Daytona 500 fuel excitement year-round, as well as the Motorsports Hall of Fame. Beyond the track, the city boasts an emerging arts scene, including the Southeast Museum of Photography, Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, Museum of Art and Science, restaurants, bars and cafes, and a range of outdoor activities, making it a prime destination for tourists of varying tastes and interests.

What's often overlooked, however, is the world-class surfing break at Ponce Inlet, located just north of the nearby town of New Smyrna Beach. Daytona Beach Shores share the northern portion of the inlet, offering consistently great waves. Ambros Daytona recognizes the opportunity to elevate the hospitality experience of Daytona with a new brand and concept, revitalizing a pristine stretch of the Atlantic coastline and serving as a bolthole for surfers and watersport enthusiasts alike.

As the development partner behind Ambros Daytona, GRJ LLC brings its expertise in identifying properties with untapped potential and transforming them into high-value assets. The launch of Ambros reflects GRJ's commitment to revitalizing the hospitality space, combining their experience in property transformation with Ambros's focus on wellness and elevated guest experiences.

The hotel is located a short 20-minute drive from Daytona Beach Airport (DAB) and an hour and 15 minute drive from Orlando International Airport (MCO). For more information about Ambros Daytona and to make a reservation, please visit ambroshotels.com.
