Om Arham Ventures Signs Wyndham Hotel in Guwahati, Marking the Brand’s Entry into Northeast India

Om Arham Ventures today announced the signing of an upscale 190-room Wyndham hotel in Guwahati, Assam, developed in partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company by the number of properties. The brownfield project is scheduled to open in the second half of 2028.

This signing marks Wyndham’s official entry into the Guwahati market, a key commercial and tourism gateway to Northeast India. The hotel will feature 190 contemporary guest rooms and suites designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers. The property will also operate as a pure-vegetarian hotel, reflecting evolving guest preferences in the region.

Positioned as a full-service upscale offering, the hotel will feature multiple dining venues, expansive banquet and conferencing facilities, and wellness amenities including a fitness centre, spa and swimming pool. Its large-format banquet spaces are expected to complement the room inventory and position the hotel as a preferred destination for weddings, social celebrations, and MICE events in the city.

With this signing, Wyndham continues to strengthen its development pipeline in India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to expanding across high-growth emerging markets.
