Fidelity Hotel

The Queen City’s Newest Lifestyle Destination, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel is Now Accepting Reservations

New Waterloo, a dynamic, community-centric independent hotel management company, announced today that reservations are now available at Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel, the company’s second Ohio lifestyle hotel in two years.

Opening in July, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel will reflect New Waterloo’s commitment to positive community impact, beyond simple hospitality to act as a social and economic catalyst for the city. Upon opening, the "Community Love" package will provide $10 of every night booked to support ArtWorks Cincinnati.

Beyond its social mission, the hotel serves as a premier gateway to the best of downtown. Situated in the city’s newly designated Fountain District, just steps from major sports venues like Great American Ballpark and Paycor Stadium, as well as cultural landmarks including the Taft Museum, Aronoff Center, Contemporary Art Center, and First Financial Center, the property will offer an exceptional downtown experience.

An adaptive reuse of the historic Gwynne Building, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel will seamlessly blend the city’s rich history with its modern vibrancy. Designed by Looney & Associates, the hotel celebrates the building’s Beaux-Arts architectural style, offering a quietly extraordinary experience that feels both familiar and beautifully renewed.

Built in 1913, the 13-story Beaux-Arts landmark was originally commissioned by Alice Claypoole Gwynne Vanderbilt, designed by renowned architect Ernest Flagg, and named in honor of Alice’s father, Abraham Evan Gwynne, a prominent Cincinnati lawyer and judge. Flagg was the building’s original architect and champion of an innovative French-inspired Beaux Arts design approach.

The restoration honors the building’s heritage while modernizing key elements. The design team conducted extensive research, exploring archives, original drawings, historic newspapers, and comparable properties in cities like New York, New Orleans, and Cleveland, ultimately creating a vision that merges French design principles with Cincinnati’s local identity. The façade and interiors were meticulously restored, including a new four-story light court complete with an elegant grand stair, reopened terraces, a restored white-washed tower with its original multi-chromatic design, and the reinstated vaulted lobby with steel storefronts replicating the originals.

Interiors evoke Parisian charm, with apartment-style guestrooms and meeting rooms reimagined as fashionable parlors or garden retreats. Guests will be able to enjoy a full-service, three-meal restaurant, Gwynne; a stylish lobby bar; and Cora's All Day Café, a corner café and market featuring local artisanal goods inspired by a corner Parisian marché. Natural marble floors in dynamic geometric patterns, bold wallcoverings, harmonious mouldings, and a mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings create a layered, collected feel, complemented by a curated art collection of local talent. Once known as the “Paris of America,” Cincinnati now has a landmark that celebrates its heritage, reflects the city’s elegance, and showcases its renewed vitality.

The hotel will feature 165 guest rooms, including 17 suites, two bunkrooms, and a presidential suite, alongside more than 7,770 square feet of flexible event space, highlighted by the 2,575-square-foot Vanderbilt Ballroom with sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows. Thoughtful guestroom touches include locally sourced minibars, in-room dining, plush Parachute bathrobes, and premium bath amenities, while hotel facilities include a 24-hour fitness center with Peloton bikes, CLMBR, and FORME Life equipment, and more. The soon-to-open hotel will serve as a premier destination for both business and leisure travelers seeking a distinctive Cincinnati experience.
