The Clara Hotel Officially Opens Following Extensive Transformation of Former NYLO Property in Plano, Texas
The Clara Hotel has opened in Plano’s Legacy Corridor following a property-wide renovation and repositioning of the former NYLO Hotel. Owned by NewcrestImage and operating within Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, the 176-room property now features a residential-inspired design, updated guestrooms and public areas, eight specialty suites, flexible meeting facilities, a heated outdoor pool and a revitalized 4,000-square-foot courtyard.
The redevelopment expands the hotel’s appeal across corporate, leisure and local demand segments. Its event infrastructure is designed to accommodate business meetings, weddings, community functions and social gatherings, while redesigned communal spaces aim to increase guest engagement and on-property activity. The project replaces the building’s previous industrial aesthetic with natural materials, layered textures, greenery and warmer finishes.
Food and beverage is central to the repositioning strategy, with two new concepts intended to attract both hotel guests and local customers. Field & Vine serves breakfast and dinner with a menu combining French techniques, Haitian influences and Texas ingredients, while Archer operates as an evening cocktail lounge with a navigation-inspired identity and a more intimate design. The hotel is now open to overnight guests, diners and visitors at 8201 Preston Road in Plano.
