Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico Opens
Hilton today announces the opening of Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico, a 154-room lifestyle hotel in the heart of Guadalajara’s historic center. Owned and developed by Grupo Megaterra, the hotel is housed in a restored 1950s Art Deco building and introduces Motto by Hilton’s neighborhood-driven hospitality experience to one of Mexico’s most culturally rich urban destinations.
Originally designed by Agustín Acevedo in the 1950s as a residential apartment building, the property stands as a local expression of functionalist Art Deco architecture. Today, it has been thoughtfully reimagined as Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Histórico, exemplifying the brand’s approach to modern travel through its prime urban location, cleverly compact rooms and locally inspired experiences. While its purpose has evolved, the building continues to bridge its modernist heritage with a renewed role in Guadalajara’s historic heart.
Ideal for explorers seeking to experience destinations from the inside out, Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico places guests at the center of the city’s cultural and social scene. Located just one block from Plaza Fundadores, the birthplace of Guadalajara, the hotel offers immediate access to the destination’s rich history, architecture and vibrant local culture. Guests are within walking distance of some of the city’s most iconic attractions, including Teatro Degollado, Instituto Cultural Cabañas, Guadalajara Cathedral and San Juan Market, making the hotel an ideal launchpad to discover the energy and authenticity of Guadalajara.
Guest rooms were designed with flexibility in mind and are easily adaptable with muti-functional furniture and Hilton’s pioneering Confirmed Connecting Room technology, which offers several connecting room configurations to accommodate groups of all sizes. There are 69 connecting rooms, with the option to link up to 3 at once.
To further encourage connection, the hotel’s public spaces are anchored in two food & beverage concepts that serve as a gathering point for guests and locals alike. La BienQuerida is Motto Guadalajara’s full-service restaurant concept, serving locally inspired food and beverage that offers a modern take on traditional Mexican cantinas. Doña Elvira, the hotel’s other food & beverage outlet, is a vibrant café serving up traditional Mexican breads and artisanal coffees for guests and locals alike.
