Hilton Signs First Hotel in Batam, Accelerating Growth in Indonesia
Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the signing of Hilton Garden Inn Batam City Centre, marking the company's first hotel on the island of Batam and expanding Hilton's presence in Indonesia. Scheduled to open in 2028, the hotel will be developed by PT. Sabang Raya Investama and joins Hilton's growing portfolio in South East Asia.
Strategically located in the heart of Batam, the hotel will enjoy convenient access to the island's major commercial, retail and administrative hubs, including Lubuk Baja and Batam Centre. The property is also well positioned to serve increasing demand from corporate travellers, meetings and events, weekend leisure visitors, wellness and golf travellers, as well as guests visiting the island for medical-related stays.

The hotel site is within Batam's core Central Business District and provides easy access to key transportation links, including ferry terminals, industrial estates and Hang Nadim International Airport.
Hilton Garden Inn Batam City Centre will feature 199 guest rooms, including standard rooms, family rooms and suites. Guests will enjoy a range of amenities including an all-day dining restaurant, bar, fitness centre, swimming pool and more than 900 square metres of meeting and event space, including a ballroom and six meeting rooms.
The signing further strengthens Hilton's growth momentum in Indonesia, one of Asia Pacific's fastest-growing hospitality markets, where the company has 18 trading hotels with another 16 in the pipeline.
