Meliá Reinforces Its Mallorcan Roots with the Addition of a New Hotel in Cala Millor
Seventy years after opening its first hotel, Meliá Hotels International continues to grow where it all began: Mallorca. In this particularly significant year, as the company celebrates its 70th anniversary, Meliá has announced the addition of a new hotel in Cala Millor, which will operate under the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand, further strengthening one of the most iconic offerings within its resort portfolio.
Located in one of the most sought-after areas on Mallorca’s east coast, renowned for its long stretch of crystal-clear waters, the hotel enjoys a beachfront setting in Cala Millor, next to the protected natural area of Punta de n'Amer. With direct beach access, Meliá Cala Millor features 171 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, lobby bar, pool bar, gym, and spa. The hotel officially joined the company’s portfolio on 1 November, after which a transition process began to align the property with the standards and guest experience that define the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand.
With this addition, Meliá will reach a total of 29 hotels in Mallorca, reaffirming a presence that has evolved alongside the island’s own tourism transformation. The company continues to focus on increasingly elevated experiences that are deeply connected to the destination, drawing inspiration from local culture and the Mediterranean way of life.
