Stan R. Soroka has been appointed as Area Vice President, Florida & Hilton Grand Vacation Resort Operations at Hilton

Soroka will assume leadership of hotel operations for several Hilton, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Waldorf Astoria properties throughout the State of Florida as well as the Conrad Miami. In addition, he will oversee the resort operation functions for Hilton Grand Vacations developed properties in Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and South Beach, Florida. He will assume his new role effective May 12, 2010. A second generation hotelier, Soroka has an impressive 30-year history successfully operating renowned hotels and resorts. He began his hospitality career with Hyatt in the stewarding department, quickly moving up the food and beverage ranks before transitioning to front office operations and management. He spent seven years with Adam’s Mark Hotels and Resorts including three years as senior vice president where he was responsible for strategic planning, quality standards, sales efforts and company budgets. After roles at Vail Resorts Management and Oakbrook Hotels, he served as managing director of El Conquistador Resort and Las Casitas Village in Puerto Rico, a position he has held since 2005. Soroka holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston.
