Andreas Pfister has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental Doha

InterContinental Doha has appointed IHG stalwart Andreas Pfister as its new general manager, as well as Cyril Mouawad as its new director of sales and marketing. Pfister joins the hotel after spending 22 years with the group, having previously held the same position at InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. Since 1990, when he joined IHG as a reservation clerk at InterContinental Geneva, he has worked in seven different countries, including Germany, England, India and Luxembourg. Between 1998 and 2001 he found himself being promoted at Forum Hotel Munich from front office manager until, finally, he became director of sales and revenue and regional coordinator for South Germany.
