In November 2012, Mr. Michael Nugent was appointed as General Manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai. He brings more than 30 years of international experience in the hospitality industry and over 17 years at the forefront of the region's expanding hospitality sector, with executive level roles at Le Méridien and Mövenpick hotels in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia. His commitment to Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts spans more than 7 years, with key executive positions in UAE. Prior to his newly appointed role, he was General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel and Apartments Bur Dubai and most recently Mövenpick Hotel Deira, where he led the pre-opening team. An enthusiastic, result-orientated hotelier, Nugent has built a strong track record for delivering high service standards, achieving profitability and boosting market share. Originally from Ireland, his extensive experience in leading multi-cultural teams makes him a perfect fit in Dubai's cosmopolitan hospitality industry.
