Ignace Bauwens, Vice President of Operations UAE, Near East and Africa, InterContinental Hotels Group, announced the promotion of Sameh Sobhy to General Manager of the Semiramis InterContinental Cairo.Sobhy joined the Semiramis InterContinental in 1987 as a member of the Sales and Marketing team and throughout 26 years he assumed different roles within the InterContinental Hotels both in Egypt and the UK. His vast experience, wealth of knowledge and great leadership of his team in challenging times has set him up to become the first Egyptian General Manager to manage the iconic & historic Semiramis InterContinental. Sobhy is married with two children, and his favourite hobbies are travelling and driving cars. Sobhy is looking forward to his new challenging role.
