Ahmed Jarkass has been promoted to Director of Business Development and Marketing at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa

An Egyptian national, Ahmed Jarkass was a key member of the hotel’s pre-opening executive team when he joined in November 2009 as Director of Sales. He successfully supported the hotel’s planning, sales strategies and activities to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. He has also been a main contributor in hiring the Sales and Marketing team from the local and international markets. Ahmed Jarkass brings with him 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, covering senior sales positions across several prestigious hotel brands in Egypt and Kuwait. A graduate from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels with specialisation in Hotel Management from the Helwan University in Cairo, he also completed a programme in Marketing Strategy for Business Leaders from the Cornell University. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the Sales, Public Relations and Marketing, Revenue and Conference and Events teams with a strategy to strengthen the positioning of Kuwait’s idyllic resort as the first choice hotel for corporate and leisure markets in Kuwait and internationally.

Ahmed Jarkass is an alumnus of Helwan University – Class of 1997.
