The Egyptian national started his hospitality career in 1996 when he joined Sheraton El Gezirah as GSA trainee. He then went on to join Sheraton Cairo Hotel Towers & Casino in 2001 as sales executive, where he was later promoted to sales manager, and then deputy director of sales. Prior to joining Sheraton Bahrain Hotel, Farid was director of sales at Le Meridien Jeddah.
