Shashi Shetty has been appointed as Regional Director Sales and Marketing - Gulf Region at The Ascott Limited

Shetty brings more than 15 years of GCC hospitality experience to her new role. She joins the group from Ramee Group of Hotels and Resorts Dubai, where she was group sales and operations manager. Previously, Shetty was group director sales & marketing at Grand Midwest Hotel Apartments Dubai, and sales and marketing director at Fraser Suites Dubai. Ascott currently has seven properties in the pipeline across Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE, all of which are due to open within the next two years. Globally, the group is eyeing 40,000 apartment units by the end of 2015, and 80,000 units by 2020.
