Bernard Mercier has been appointed as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay

Joining with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Mercier, a Swiss national, most recently served as the general manager of the Grand Hotel Djibloho Kempinski in Equatorial Guinea. Throughout his career he has held various posts, and has served as cluster general manager of Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi in Kenya as well as general manager of Kempinski Hotel Sanya Haitang Bay. A Kempinski veteran, Mercier has worked across five continents. He kicked off his career with Intercontinental Hotels Group, moving from F&B director to resident manager and then into his inaugural general manager post in Hong Kong. He has managed properties spanning Hong Kong, Manila, Bora Bora, Cancun, Sanya and Sao Paulo for Sheraton, Hilton, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts and Kempinski.
