Assuming the position with over 25 years of experience, Kraus, originally from Switzerland, has worked across four continents and is fluent in three languages. Over the last five years he has been based in Asia and has worked at the Hilton Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, the Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa in the Philippines and the Hilton Nanjing in China. He has also previously worked for hotels in the Middle East including The Hilton Fujairah Resort in the UAE as well as the Cairo Ramses Hilton & Casino in Egypt. Prior to his new position, he served as the general manager of the Einstein St.Gallen. Kraus is a skilled hotelier with pre-opening experience in the Asia Pacific region as well as experience in operations and general management. He is also skilled in assessing and mentoring high potential employees, driving team performance, quality improvements, financial optimisation and crisis management. Kraus founded Swiss International Hospitality Consulting, a global hospitality & tourism-consulting firm, with a wide network of highly experienced hospitality professionals around the world.
