Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East has appointed Anna-Marie Dowling as the new complex general manager for The Westin Bahrain City Centre and Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre. The high-end hotel company has welcomed Anna-Marie Dowling, a British national, to her first role in the Middle East. Dowling’s previous experience in the hospitality industry spans 24 years, and she joins the company having progressed through various positions in properties in the UK. Dowling joins the team from the Sofitel London Heathrow, where she held the role of general manager since 2013. Prior to this, Dowling was the general manager at the Royal Horseguards, a luxury hotel which is part of the Guoman Group. She previously made her debut with Starwood in 2003, as general manager for Le Méridien Piccadilly Hotel & Café Royal.
