As Centara Hotels & Resorts prepares to open the Centara Grand West Bay Hotel Doha in Qatar, and has announced Mr. James Robert Wilson as General Manager. Wilson will be overseeing the opening of this new property, which is part of the greater expansion plans for the Middle East. With many years of experience in the hotel industry and having worked for many hotels and resorts all over the world including in Scotland, Thailand, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Wilson brings a wealth of knowledge that will support the successful opening of Centara Grand West Bay Hotel Doha. Wilson has worked as General Manager of the Pathumwan Princess Hotel Bangkok, Dusit Thani Hotel Bangkok, Dusit Thani Hotel Dubai, United Arab Emirates and as Vice President Operations of Dusit International and Dusit Princess Hotels. Before joining Centara, Wilson was the General Manager at Millennium Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. “Welcoming James to the Centara family marks a very exciting time for us as we continue to expand in rapidly developing destinations, such as the Middle East,” comments Mr. Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer for Centara Hotels & Resorts. “With two properties opening in the Middle East in Q4 of 2016, we are proud to be developing a strong and dynamic team that will help lead these properties to a successful future in the region.”
