With over 20 years’ of hospitality experience, Smith's role will include maximisation of financial performance, cultivation of guest experience and development of the hotel team to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved. He joins Grand Millennium Al Wahda from Absheron Hotel Group in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he last held the role of multi-unit general manager for Boulevard Hotel Baku for more than two years.Prior to that, he held several senior executive positions for InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) in different parts of the world such as the Gulf, the United Kingdom and Zambia.
