With more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Marc de Ruijter joins Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach as General Manager; in charge of overseeing the entire operation of the hotel. De Ruijter is no stranger to the Sofitel brand or Dubai, having previously been Hotel Manager at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. With a wealth of hospitality experience gleaned from positions taken in the USA, Belgium, France, Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates, Marc brings his global mindset to a highly competitive market. From his very first role as an intern in Orlando, Florida to now residing the position of General Manager of Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach, Marc is sure to bring an abundance of energy and insight to the hotel.Marc graduated from MTRO, The Netherlands in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management. He is fluent in English, French and German in addition to his native language; Dutch.
