Hoteles City Express, S.A.B. de C.V. ("Hoteles City Express" or "the Company") (BMV: HCITY), today announced the appointment of Mateo Mazal as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Mazal brings significant operational management expertise to the Company, with over a decade of experience in senior roles. At Hoteles City Express, he will be responsible for strengthening organizational processes that underpin future growth, incorporating new operating practices to maximize efficiency and supporting the brand promise across the hotel portfolio. Previously, Mr. Mazal was Chief Operating Officer of UVM Laureate International Universities and before that he acted as General Manager of Vitro Cristal, a subsidiary of glass manufacturer Grupo Vitro. He is an Industrial Engineer with a Bachelor's degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and has an MBA from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE).
