Swift Hospitality Group, Inc. (SHG) based in Freeport, Illinois, announces the promotion of Matt Jacobs to President effective September 1, 2017. Matt joined SHG in 2004 and most recently served as the company’s Executive Vice President of Operations. He joined the company as Assistant General Manager and served as General Manager of multiple hotel properties before being promoted in 2008 to Senior Director of Operations, working from the SHG corporate office in Freeport, IL. As President, Matt will be responsible for leadership of the SHG portfolio and will handle all aspects of the corporation’s daily operations, including serving as the primary contact for SHG partners. Matt will work closely with the board of directors to ensure the corporate goals and objectives are reached by challenging the management team to take a critical look at how business is conducted in order to deliver high-quality financial performance.
