Caroline Thissen has been appointed as Senior Area Director Sales & Revenue Optimization at Radisson Hotel Group

Caroline Thissen is Senior Area Director Sales & Revenue Optimization, Radisson Hotel Group and has responsibility for driving the commercial performance and revenue optimization of over 100 hotels across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

Based in Dubai, Caroline supports the Senior Area Vice President in order to achieve budgeted revenues and growth in RGI for the Area. Caroline was recently promoted to her current position and in her newly expanded role is now responsible for successfully integrating the synergies between revenue, sales and distribution channels to drive revenue and profitability across the area hotel portfolio. Caroline leads a team to implement the revenue and pricing strategies, and oversees the analysis, planning, sales and revenue management for the area. With responsibilities across the group's emerging markets Caroline plays a pivotal role in setting the appropriate revenue and sales foundations for new hotel openings.

A UK national with over 19 year's hotel experience, Caroline began her career in the UK with Radisson Blu hotels in Manchester and London before moving to a regional role with De Vere Venues. Caroline rejoined the Radisson Hotel Group in 2013 and relocated to Dubai as Director of Revenue at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City, progressing to Area Director Revenue Optimization before her current role as Senior Area Director Sales & Revenue Optimization.

Caroline holds a bachelors degree with Honours in Hospitality Management and Tourism from Manchester Metropolitan University.
