Shannon Stickells has been appointed as Food & Beverage Director at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi
Southern Sun Abu Dhabi has appointed Shannon Stickells as the new food and beverage director. Stickells brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role.
As the F&B director, Stickells will oversee the hotel's six F&B outlets including The Foundry steakhouse and Blu Sky Lounge & Grill as well as the banquet and conference facilities.
Previously, Stickells has worked in hospitality across the globe including Australia, USA, Asia and international cruise ships. In Australia, Stickells worked at restaurants like Neil Perry's Rockpool and Bennelong at the Sydney Opera House. He went on t work various other jobs before relocating to Dubai to work at Burj Al Arab as head sommelier.
Recently, Stickells worked various managerial positions from assistant food and beverage director, to director of F&B with the Rotana Group and TDIC.
Stickells is also a certified sommelier and tutor with Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
