Dmitry Gontar has been appointed as Area Director of E-Commerce Qatar at Minor Hotels

Taking on his new challenge with over a decade of marketing and e-commerce experience Gontar will spearhead digital strategies in the region for 13 Anantara, Tivoli and Oaks hotels, including three pre-openings.

Over the years he has held various positions, including that of marketing and public relations executive at Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow as well as marcom/e-commerce manager at Kempinski Hotel Ajman, e-commerce manager and then director at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara.

He joined Minor Hotels Group as e-commerce manager at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in June 2015 and since then he has acquired several Minor Hotels Group's awards for efficient social media strategy, increasing of direct bookings vs OTA's and overall e-commerce revenue growth: Social Media Impact Award 2016, Excelling in Adversity Award 2018, Best use of Social Media to drive Engagement Award 2018.

Gontar will be managing local e-commerce teams and will be reporting to Minor Hotels area general manager for Qatar.
