Stu Grimson has been appointed as VP of Business Development at THIRDHOME
THIRDHOME is excited to announce that Stu Grimson has been appointed as Vice President of Business Development. He will be responsible for cultivating new partnerships with luxury resorts, real estate developers, and vacation rental managers as well as assorted corporate legal matters. His initial focus will be in regions he came to know well during his career as a professional hockey player: Nashville, Chicago, and Canadian provinces British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec. Stu will remain a senior analyst on the NHL's flagship broadcasting platform, the NHL Network.
Grimson, a Nashville resident, was an early investor in THIRDHOME and has been a believer in the company's innovative concept since day one. "From the moment I learned of THIRDHOME's concept I was very intrigued," says Grimson. "My early interest and discussions with Wade quickly led to my involvement as investor. I am thrilled to be part of a really unique and vibrant culture that is centered around two of my real passions in life: real estate and travel."
Grimson began his professional hockey career in 1987, where he played for the Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers/Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings, and finally the Nashville Predators. Over the course of his 729-game career, Grimson played for two Stanley Cup finalists and accumulated 2113 penalty minutes.
After retiring his hockey jersey in 2003, Grimson completed his undergraduate studies in economics before going on to earn a law degree from the University of Memphis in 2005. The Vancouver native then went to work as a labor lawyer for the NHL Players' Union in Toronto, Ontario, before returning to Nashville in 2008 to work as a defense attorney.
