Michael Faulkner has been appointed Head of Sales & Distribution at Swire Hotels
Michael's 20 years of experience in the hotel industry has taken him from Como Hotels & Resorts in London to Park Hyatt in Sydney. With his extensive knowledge in hospitality, Michael joined Swire Hotels in 2009 as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Opposite House in Beijing and later assumed the position of General Manager at EAST Beijing in 2013. In 2017, he moved to Shanghai to take on the role of General Manager of The Middle House and oversee its opening. Michael's recent appointment as Head of Sales & Distribution in 2020 will be based in Hong Kong at the Swire Hotels Central Support Office, with a focus on the development of a comprehensive distribution strategy for both The House Collective and EAST brand. He will be responsibile for the overall relationship with distribution partners and will take the lead in developing offline/online sales strategies. In his free time Michael enjoys traveling, running, and music.
