Ray Waters has been appointed as Senior Vice President at Wellengood Partners
Senate Hospitality Group, LLC, a hotel development, management and investment company that owns and operates The Westin Memphis Beale Street Hotel, announced today that Ray Waters has been named Senior Vice President at the company.
Bringing with him more than 40 years of experience in the industry, prior to joining Senate, Waters held numerous executive hospitality leadership positions, including; Vice President of Castlerock Asset Management, President of Turnberry Associates hospitality group, as well as its long-term General Manager of the Hilton Nashville Downtown and 25 years in executive roles at Gaylord Entertainment's Opryland Hotel & Resort, including Senior Vice President and General Manager.
Waters is past president of the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association and the Tennessee Hospitality Association. He has served on the board of directors for American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA), Nashville Sports Council and BellSouth Senior Golf Tournament. He won AHLA's General Manager of the Year Award for Large Properties in 2008 and was named Hotelier of the Year by the Tennessee Hospitality Association in 2017. Waters has been instrumental in helping shape the hospitality industry in Nashville and the state of Tennessee.
