Matthew Bishop has been appointed as Director and Chief Financial Officer at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group

Mandarin Oriental has appointed Matthew Bishop as a Director and Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 September 2021.

Matthew will take over from Craig Beattie, the current Chief Financial Officer, who will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Hongkong Land Holdings Limited with effect from the same date.

Matthew joined Jardine Matheson in 2010 and has held a number of senior finance roles across the group, most recently as Group Treasurer of Jardine Matheson since December 2018.

Matthew was a diplomat with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in Beijing and London. He holds a law degree and is a chartered accountant.
