Dany El Mahgiub has been appointed as Director of Operations at Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel
The Queen Elizabeth 2 hotel (QE2), moored in Dubai, has brought in a new director of operations. Dany El Mahgiub joins the unique nautical hotel in his first role outside of F&B.
Starting out over a decade ago, Mahgiub was manager of in-room dining of Fairmont Dubai in 2009. Enrolled on the Fairmont leadership programme, he became assistant manager of three outlets at Fairmont Dubai. In 2010, he was manager of in-room dining, Bridges Sports Bar, Café Pronto and Café Sushi. Again moving up through Fairmont, he became outlet GM at the hotel across eight kitchens from 2011 to 2012.
Moving to Fairmont the Palm, he became manager of all-day dining, heading up buffet operations breakfast operations and a la cart lunch and dinner. In 2014 he moved to Atlantis The Palm as operations manager of Nasimi Beach, then Ronda Locatelli. From 2018 to March 2022 he was director of F&B at the Raffles Dubai.
