Tamer Refaat has been promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing at Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri
Tamer Refaat has been promoted to position of director of sales and marketing for Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri in Abu Dhabi. He was previously assistant DOSM for the property but has been recognised for his success in developing teams and delivering results.
As DOSM, he will now be managing the overall sales and marketing strategy and its execution, annual budgets, revenue, and distribution management for both properties. He is also recognised for establishing business partnerships, process structuring as well as monitoring market trends to drive greater market share.
Refaat is closing in on 20 years in the industry, starting as a front office agent with the Renaissance in Dubai (now a St. Regis). From there, he worked with Shangri-La in Dubai as a business development manager from 2006 to 2010.
Following four years with Shangri-La Dubai, he moved to Raffles Dubai as assistant director of sales for a further four years, later returning to Shangri-La in Dubai once more as cluster director of sales. He then joined Rotana as cluster director of business development before working with Bab Al Qasr as cluster DOSM.
