James J. Haggerty has been named Vice President of Design & Development at Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG)

Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), an Atlanta-based, private hotel investment, ownership and management company, today announced that it named Jim Haggerty vice president of design & development.

Prior to joining HVMG, Haggerty most recently served as senior vice president of brand development with Atlantic City, N.J.-based Vivamee Hospitality. While there, he led the acquisition and redevelopment of multiple properties, including the $30 million Renault Winery & Golf Resort and the 220-acre Kent Island Resort, directing all real estate development activities. He was also director of design & construction with Choice Hotels and vice president of capital management at Aimbridge Hospitality. Haggerty also worked as acting facilities chief/facility program manager for the U.S. Federal Courts where he provided experienced oversight of several federally owned properties, including the one million square-foot Thurgood Marshall Building and the U.S. Supreme Court facility located on the U.S. Capitol Complex grounds campus. A sought-after speaker and writer, Haggerty received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and his Master of Architecture from The Catholic University of America - School of Architecture & Planning. He also was awarded the Hotel Real Estate Investment and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University - School of Hotel Administration.
