Judy Geiger has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at The Woodstock Inn & Resort

The Woodstock Inn & Resort announces the appointment of Judy Geiger as the new Director of Human Resources, effective September 12, 2022. Geiger brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to her new position.

As the Director of Human Resources leading all aspects of recruitment and retention, Geiger will be responsible for employment and hiring functions, employee relations, and training, as well as general oversight of the human resources department. She will also oversee the management of employee benefits programs and dynamic recruitment and staffing initiatives.

Prior to joining the Woodstock Inn & Resort, Geiger was the Director of Human Resources at Killington/Pico Ski Resort from 2012-2022, and the Manager of Human Resources from 2004-2012 where her responsibilities included communicating the company strategy and culture through staff training and orientation, management of the safety and workers' compensation program, and maintenance of personnel records and overseeing the processing of the payroll. Judy has held leadership positions with the American Skiing Company, Sugarbush Resort, and the Canyons Resort.

In addition to her leadership positions, Geiger was the 2021 recipient of the Vermont Governor's Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities "Spirit of the ADA" Award. She has been active in local and national organizations including the Green Mountain Human Resources Association, the Vermont Workforce Investment Board and the Society for Human Resources Management. Geiger holds SHRM-CP and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certifications.

Geiger will succeed Ann Tucker, the current director of human resources, upon her retirement this fall; the two will work closely with the human resources team during the transition period.
