William Harley-Fleming has been promoted to Vice President of Operations at JA The Resort
JA Resorts and Hotels has promoted William Harley-Fleming to vice president of operations. Fleming, who has been with JA Resorts and Hotels for over 15 years, brings with him a foundation of result-driven hospitality experience in the Middle Eastern, Asian, and European markets.
Fleming started his career with JA as corporate food and beverage concept director in 2007, before taking up his first general manager role at the age of 30. Since then, he has developed his career steadily, holding GM roles at Dubai's JA Ocean View Hotel, JA Oasis Beach Tower, as well as JA Manafaru in the Maldives.
There, he managed a total of 799 rooms and suites, three brands, 23 restaurants and bars, a nine-hole championship golf course, an equestrian centre, four floodlit tennis courts and a tennis academy, as well as squash courts, badminton courts, a padel tennis court, a watersports centre, a private 100-berth full-service marina, the public shooting club, the spa, and a 1,100 sq m bio-garden dedicated to sustainability and education.
In his new role, Fleming will continue to oversee the Group's Indian Ocean properties, including JA Manafaru, JA Enchanted Island Resort, and JA Enchanted Waterfront.
Before his most recent promotion, Fleming spent five years as cluster general manager at the 1m sq m JA The Resort.
William Harley-Fleming is an alumnus of Manchester Metropolitan University – Class of 2002.
