Ryan Gaterman has been appointed as Food & Beverage Manager at St Julien Hotel & Spa

St Julien Hotel & Spa announces the appointment of Ryan Gaterman as food and beverage manager. Gaterman brings more than 10 years of experience in hospitality management to the award-winning hotel and its three interconnected food and beverage outlets: Jill's Restaurant & Bistro, in-room dining and the outdoor terrace.

Prior to joining the St Julien team, Gaterman was a service captain for Boulder's Frasca Food & Wine. In this position, Gaterman trained new staff on specialty products, wine pairings and multi-course sequence of service. And, while at Frasca, his team was awarded "Outstanding Service" from the James Beard Foundation Awards. Prior to his 3.5 years with Frasca, Gaterman owned and operated Tasting House, a production company focused on specialized event planning, production and logistics. He has also held management positions with The Kitchen and Stanley Hotel.

In his new role, Gaterman will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the property's three outlets, as well as assisting the Jill's Restaurant general manager with administrative duties such as payroll, recruitment and training.

Deeply passionate about food, Gaterman, in his free time, can be found working in gardens and with local farms. He is a forager recognized by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. A unique quality to his experience, he has brokered specialty produce from small independent farms and lead chefs on forage trips.
