Sandy Hartak has been promoted to director of front office at Rixos Premium Dubai. The Syrian has worked with the hotel for four years, and with fellow Rixos The Palm Dubai for close to seven years before that.

In his most senior role to date, he will lead the entire department, namely heading up customer service and guest satisfaction functions. He will also be tasked with ensuring that all staff members are properly trained on company policies and procedures along with developing new programs to improve customer service and increase revenue.

Hartak began as a guest service agent with Novotel World Trade Center in 2009, going on to work with Movenpick Ibn Battuta Gate - now an Oaks property - as a receptionist for a year. His time with Rixos began on the Palm as a front desk chief supervisor, going on to become assistant manager of the front office, with a stint as night manager as well before moving to the sister JBR property.
