Miguel Carrillo has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Wymara Resort + Villas
Wymara Resort + Villas, the luxury Caribbean sanctuary on Turks & Caicos' Grace Bay Beach, today announces the appointment of Miguel Carrillo as Director of Sales and Marketing. Carrillo brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including roles in the hotel, airline and tour operator sectors.
A Venezuela native with multi-national experience, Carrillo joins Wymara Resort + Villas from Malliouhana Resort, the first luxury hotel in Anguilla, where he served as Director of Sales and Marketing and mentored a team of Sales & Events, Reservations and Marketing professionals. Carrillo spent the majority of his career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts where he held esteemed sales positions for more than 19 years. His roles included: Account Director, Worldwide Sales: Latin America, Caribbean & Bermuda Region, Sales Manager: Four Seasons Hotel Miami, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and Four Seasons Hotel Caracas.
Carrillo also held senior level positions at Brickell Travel Management and several Hyatt Hotels in Miami, where he planned and implemented sales and marketing strategies. He also spent time in the airline industry, working for leading brands such as British Airways and Continental Airlines (United). Throughout his tenure in the industry, Carrillo has been recognized for his integrity, leadership and sales achievements, which were reflected in multiple industry awards he was honored with.
Carrillo holds an Associate of Arts degree in Translation and Interpretation from Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from IUNP in Venezuela along with IATA Certifications. He is fluent in five languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese) and has resided in six different countries. He is currently based in Miami, FL, where he lives with his wife and three children.
