Charles Clark has been appointed as General Manager at Hyde Hotel Dubai
Ennismore has welcomed Charles Clark into its fold as the new general manager at the Hyde Hotel Dubai. He steps into the shoes of the highly-regarded Luke James, who has been with the Business Bay hotel from its early pre-opening days.
In his role, Clark will be responsible for the daily operations at the hotel, guiding the team towards achieving operational excellence and crafting unique guest experiences, all in alignment with the hotel's mantra, 'Anything Can Happen'. Clark, who Ennismore praises as an energetic and forward-thinking hotelier, brings over two decades of expertise in the field of luxury hospitality and food and beverage operations to the table.
Hailing from the United Kingdom, Clark started his journey in hospitality as a management trainee at Kensington Park Thistle Hotel after securing his National Diploma in Hotel Catering Management from Scarborough College in New Yorkshire.
In 1999, Clark transitioned from his food and beverage-centric roles to operations management at Hilton London Olympia. This marked the beginning of his decade-long tenure in various leadership roles at different Hilton hotels in the UK. His stint with Hilton culminated in his position as director of operations at the London Hilton on Park Lane, after which he shifted his focus to the Middle East.
In 2009, Clark joined the Jumeirah Beach Hotel as a hotel manager, followed by a promotion to the general manager role at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. He subsequently returned to Hilton as the general manager of Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City in 2018. Most recently, he held the post of general manager at ME Dubai in The Opus by Zaha Hadid.
Apart from his initial diploma, Clark was the recipient of the Innholders Scholarship and completed the General Managers Program at Cornell University, USA, in June 2009. He further expanded his knowledge by completing the Executive Education Summer Program - Strategic Resilience at Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne in Switzerland in 2014.
