Sascha Vaupel has been appointed as Cluster Director of Sales at Raffles & Fairmont Doha

Sascha Vaupel, an industry veteran with extensive experience in high-end hospitality brands, has joined the executive team at two of Qatar's most luxurious hotels, Raffles and Fairmont Doha. Vaupel, formerly a top sales director at Atlantis The Royal in Dubai, will step into the role of cluster director of sales at the two Accor flagships, housed within Katara Tower.

With a career spanning 17 years in the luxury hospitality industry, Vaupel brings a wealth of expertise from his time with prestigious brands like Rocco Forte, Jumeirah Group, One&Only, and Ritz-Carlton.

In his most recent role at Atlantis, Vaupel was tasked with leading the sales team, formulating strategic sales plans for the leisure segment across the Americas, Europe, and Australasia. His past roles also include a key position as director of global sales - Central Europe at Rocco Forte Hotels. Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Vaupel led a successful team, driving revenue and increasing market share across several European markets. He also played a pivotal role in launching new hotel openings, expanding core markets, and boosting the preferred agency programme.
