Cora De Conceicao-Stuart has been appointed as General Manager at Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort Vignette Collection
Recently transitioning from Accor to IHG, Th8 Palm has named Cora De Conceicao-Stuart as its new General Manager, succeeding her role at Waldorf Astoria on Palm Jumeirah.
Initially launched in late 2021 as the flagship of the 'House of Originals' in Dubai, the property now operates under IHG's Vignette Collection, following the brand's inception in August 2021. The 'House of Originals' brand, established as a collaboration between Accor and sbe in 2019, was later rebranded as Morgan's Originals after a merger with Ennismore. The Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, Vignette Collection, continues to be owned by Kuwaiti firm Aqarat, which also selected IHG to manage the new Vignette Collection in Kuwait City.
Designed by renowned local firm Roar, Th8 Palm is part of Dubai's collection of luxury lifestyle properties.
Cora De Conceicao-Stuart brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Before her tenure at Waldorf Astoria, she served as the General Manager at Erth, Abu Dhabi. Her extensive global career includes commercial roles at Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Boston and Bahrain, the launch of the first Bulgari property in Asia, leading the pre-opening team as hotel manager at the Address Hotel Downtown in Dubai, and a term as GM at Media One Hotel, where she earned the title of General Manager of the Year at the Hotelier Middle East Awards.
She also served as the regional director of operational innovations at the Middle Eastern Regional Office of Starwood Hotels & Resorts before returning to Singapore and Indonesia as COO for an Asian hospitality start-up and GM of a Luxury Collection hotel in Jakarta.
A native of Singapore, De Conceicao-Stuart holds a Higher Diploma in Hotel Management from The Singapore Hotel and Tourism Education Centre, where she first developed her passion for the hospitality industry.
