Phillip Realmo has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island
W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island has a new director of beverage and food (also known as the F&B department).
Phillip Realmo joins the capital city hotel, which marks the fifth W Hotels property he has worked at.
In his new role, Realmo will take charge of all food and beverage operations at the hotel. He will oversee Garage, Amici, Angar, Roastery, W Lounge, Sun Deck and Wet Deck.
He succeeds Sushant Rege, who announced his departure from the hotel last week.
Prior to Yas Island, Realmo was at W Dubai - The Palm as director of venues. In this role, he led a team of 180 staff as he worked across numerous venues. Elsewhere in the brand portfolio, he has been part of opening task forces for the W Guangzhou, W Bogota and W Bangkok.
Outside of the playful Marriott brand, he has been an outlet manager for Shangri-La in Doha, general manager of PLAY Hong Kong, restaurant GM for Avani in Bangkok and restaurant GM for Thompson Hotels in Mexico.
