Anai Patel has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Cloud5 Communications
Cloud5 Communications, a leading provider of communications and technology solutions for more than 5,000 hotels, MDUs, and commercial facilities across the Americas, today announced the appointment of Anai Patel as its new CFO.
Based in Cloud5's Chicago headquarters, Patel will play a central role in the company's ongoing market expansion and growth strategy as it continues to provide strategic, consultative expertise to address hospitality's evolving IT and telecommunication challenges.
Prior to joining Cloud5, Patel spent nine years at Essentra plc, a London-listed FTSE 250 global manufacturer and distributor of essential industrial components. As Corporate Development Director, Patel was responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and strategy development globally, which eventually culminated in the portfolio optimization of the group from a diversified industrial conglomerate with segments focused on industrial components, packaging, filtration and other specialist components business to a high margin industrial components platform.
In 2019, Patel was appointed VP of Finance for the Americas, based in Chicago, wherein he led strategic and operational finance matters across a complex, multi-site manufacturing and distribution environment, enhancing revenue growth and expanding profit margins; M&A origination and held P&L responsibility for Reid Supply, a supplier of maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) components.
Originally from the United Kingdom, additional prior experience includes roles in M&A advisory and project finance at KPMG, and in public policy and strategic finance at United Kingdom's HM Treasury. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), from which he holds a degree in business mathematics and statistics and is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).
Rupal Patel (no relation), who handed Anai the CFO mantle, has moved into a part-time finance and advisory role focused on the Company's Contact Center business unit, where she has spent the majority of her career at Cloud5.
