Philipp Uecker, who boasts nearly a decade of hospitality experience across three countries on two continents, has been announced as the new General Manager for The Chedi in El Gouna, Egypt's sole member of the Leading Hotels of the World.
Situated in El Gouna, Orascom Development's premier destination, the timing of Philipp's appointment is pivotal. The resort is experiencing heightened accessibility due to an expansion in international flight routes to Cairo and Hurghada, marking a significant moment in its three-decade history.
Philipp's extensive background includes a four-year stint in Egypt, with notable roles at the 5-star Steigenberger in Hurghada and spearheading the soft launch of the Hyatt Regency in Cairo. His leadership tenures in London and Germany have further shaped his adaptive managerial approach, equipping him to excel in diverse functions within the industry.
