Marriott has appointed its new multi-property director of revenue to oversee The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm Hotel, and W Dubai - The Palm.

Clayton Karels has a ten-year background in revenue management, spanning across regional offices in North America and Asia and covering an impressive 34 countries.

His career began in the United States at Hilton's Revenue Management Consolidated Centre in Dallas. In 2016, Karels transferred to Hilton's Asia Pacific regional office in Shanghai, where he worked closely with hotels across a vast geographical spread, including Greater China, Southeast Asia, Japan, and Australasia.

In 2019, Karels moved to Dubai, taking up the role of assistant director for Hilton's regional revenue team in the Middle East & Africa. This four-year tenure in Dubai with Hilton culminated in Karels embarking on a new path with the Marriott group.

Karels' appointment is part of Marriott's focus on strengthening its revenue strategy across these high-profile properties.

His extensive experience in diverse markets positions him as an invaluable asset to as the brand continues to enhance its standing as a leading luxury destination in the region, says Marriott.
